About the Course
We live in a world that places a premium on intelligence, on knowing more. Yet even the highly educated and successful face internal struggles. Peace and happiness remain elusive.
So what is missing?
This six-session course explores the development of the intellect: the ability to see clearly, think objectively and choose wisely.
Through simple and relatable reflections on life, we will explore some very familiar experiences. The restless mind, the endless chase for happiness, the grip of ego and expectations, and our difficulty in letting go.
And then the question arises. How do we move from knowing more to living wisely?
A practical and thought-provoking introduction to Vedanta philosophy for those beginning their journey, and an opportunity to discover what true inner growth can bring to everyday life.
The Sessions
Session 1 - The Mind and Ego
Why does the mind compulsively seek fulfilment outside of itself? Explore the ego, its complexes, and why the way forward is inward.
Session 2 - Chasing Happiness
Analyse the pursuit of desires, achievements and experiences. Discover why lasting happiness cannot be found outside ourselves.
Session 3 - Action with Understanding
How can we act without being driven by likes, dislikes and expectations? Discover the true meaning of surrender and living in the present.
Session 4 - Learning to Let Go
Why do we struggle to let go? Discover how objectivity and renunciation bring greater freedom and peace to daily interactions.
Sessions 5 and 6 - The Way of Wisdom I and II
What does wisdom look like in everyday life? Explore how clarity, objectivity and selflessness shape the way we live and act, ultimately enabling us to become what we know.
